Refund Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026
Version: 1.0

This policy explains how refunds and subscription cancellations work for paid Schemvia plans. Schemvia is operated by Hexlane Systems Ltd, trading as Schemvia.

Read this policy together with our https://schemvia.com/legal/terms Terms and Conditions, the information provided at checkout, and the applicable Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights or any more favourable refund entitlement applicable to your purchase. Refund rights expressly agreed in an order form or our Data Processing Agreement also remain available.

1 Purchases through Paddle

Paid Schemvia subscriptions are sold through Paddle, our authorised reseller and merchant of record. Paddle processes payments and refunds; Schemvia provides the software service and support for its functionality.

You can request a payment refund through Paddle buyer support. You may also contact Schemvia at support@schemvia.com for help with a service issue or refund request. We will coordinate with Paddle where necessary.

2 Cancelling a subscription

You may cancel renewal using the Paddle customer portal linked from your subscription confirmation email, or request cancellation through Paddle buyer support.

Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. It prevents the next renewal, and paid access normally continues until that period ends. Cancellation alone does not request a refund for a charge already made.

If you want both a refund and cancellation of future renewals, state both requests. Statutory withdrawal or an approved refund may end access earlier.

Deleting a Schemvia account and cancelling its paid subscription are separate actions unless the account-deletion process expressly confirms otherwise. Cancel an active subscription before deleting the account and retain the cancellation confirmation.

3 Routine refunds and changes of mind

Except where required by law, Paddle’s applicable terms or an express agreement, we do not automatically refund subscription charges because you:

This applies to monthly and annual plans. Unused time does not automatically create an entitlement to a partial refund. Any credits or adjustments specifically offered during a plan change will be shown before you confirm it.

You may still ask us to review exceptional circumstances. We may agree a discretionary full or partial refund, but submitting a request does not guarantee approval or create an entitlement for future purchases. This discretion does not apply to refunds that you are legally or contractually entitled to receive.

4 Consumer cancellation and refund rights

If you purchase wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession, you may have statutory cancellation and refund rights that apply to your purchase. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

Paddle’s Paddle Refund Policy explains how these rights apply to purchases made through Paddle, including the conditions and exceptions that may apply. Where Paddle’s policy gives you a greater entitlement, that entitlement applies.

To exercise a right, contact Paddle through paddle.net, or Schemvia at support@schemvia.com.

5 Billing errors and service problems

If you believe you were charged twice, charged an incorrect amount, or charged after an effective cancellation, contact Paddle or Schemvia with the relevant payment details. We will investigate and arrange correction of a confirmed billing error, including a refund where appropriate. Report suspected unauthorised payments promptly to Paddle and your payment provider.

If paid functionality was not activated, or a persistent fault materially prevents you from using the purchased features, contact Schemvia so that we can investigate. Describe the affected feature, when the issue began and any steps already taken. We will assess the appropriate remedy under the Agreement, applicable law and Paddle’s terms; this may include restoring functionality or arranging a full or partial refund.

A support request does not waive your refund rights. You may contact Paddle directly, including where a service issue remains unresolved.

6 Discontinuation and contractual refunds

If Schemvia permanently discontinues a paid Service before your prepaid period ends, we will arrange a proportionate refund for the unused affected period, unless you agree to a materially equivalent replacement or a more favourable remedy applies.

Where the DPA provides a proportionate refund following termination of the affected Service because a timely sub-processor objection cannot be resolved, we will honour that entitlement. Other express refund commitments in your Agreement or order form also apply.

For an unused-period refund, the calculation will reflect the fees actually paid for the affected Service and the unused portion of the paid period, with tax adjustments handled by Paddle. This calculation does not limit any entitlement to a larger refund or other remedy.

7 Requesting and receiving a refund

To help identify the purchase, provide the following information where available:

If you do not have a receipt or reference, contact us or Paddle with the information you do have. Missing these details does not automatically invalidate a statutory request. Do not send passwords, API tokens, complete card details or confidential schema contents.

Paddle normally returns approved refunds through the original payment method where possible. Processing and bank posting times can differ. Applicable statutory reimbursement deadlines take priority over administrative processing times, and payment-provider timing will be explained where relevant.

For a refund covering the whole remaining subscription entitlement, paid access will end as confirmed when the refund is arranged. For a partial refund, we will explain its effect on access and renewal. Refunds do not automatically delete your projects or workspace data; data retention and deletion follow the Terms, Privacy Policy and any applicable DPA.

We encourage you to contact Paddle or Schemvia to resolve a payment issue. This does not prevent you from exercising lawful rights to dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider, and does not require you to wait beyond any applicable dispute deadline.

8 Changes and contact

We may update this policy and publish a new version with a revised date. Changes will not retrospectively reduce refund rights attached to an existing purchase. The policy applicable to your purchase, any express agreement, Paddle’s applicable terms and mandatory law will determine your entitlement.
